What are they?
Research databases and indexes provide access to magazine, journal and newspaper articles. Many of the Library's databases contain full-text articles and some images.
Why should I use them?
Searching in databases will help you find articles on a topic quickly. Most of the information in the databases is not available on the Internet.

The list at left recommends databases for specific topics.
Can I use these outside the Library?
Yes, all of the databases are available to you off-campus with the exception of Marketline Business Information Centre. Just click on the link and enter the username and password to connect to the database of your choice.
Worried you can't use Internet sources?
Although the databases are available through the Internet, the articles in a database are the equivalent of what you would find in the print version of a magazine, journal, or newspaper.
Where do I find the database passwords?
Students and faculty may pick up a list of database passwords at the Library .
